It’s practically impossible to count how many different kinds of animal there are on Earth: top scientists have estimated that our planet holds at least 8.7 million species, and that was six years ago! Because they’re such a huge part of our world, we’re getting to know our animal neighbours in the first week of Term 5.

We’ve got a whole bunch of activities lined up for the children as a result. Can they puzzle out what’s making some mysterious sounds in our quiz, for example? Additionally, we’ll be doing our best Bear Grylls impression by working out how to identify creatures… by their poo! With a session making mini-beast houses and animal masks too, it’s a jam-packed few days on the way.
